The Character Inside:
Full Personality: He is a laid back kind of guy who doesn't panic easily. He prefers to watch things progress before he jumps in himself. He doesn't get excited at little things normally, though sometimes things will sneak up on him and ignite his passion. Normally that is the little pleasures in life that get him going. He constantly works to improve himself, studying everything he can get his hands on. He is pretty good at making friends once he has tested the waters and found out about people. Though he usually doesn't approach them before he has some information. Due to the fact that he has been studying with the crabs for two years, his interactions with other humans have been minimal so he has grown somewhat awkward around them, until he gets used to them.
The Past Revealed:
Full History: He was born in the Rock Village to Two shinobi parents who urged him from an early age to take up the Shinobi mantel like they had. He admired ninja as they soared over buildings and clung to the walls like thats where they belonged. He entered the Academy at the age of seven like everyone else and quickly came to realize he was nothing like them. He studied and studied and although he grasped the concept better than most of the other students, he struggled to preform some of the most simple tasks. So he began studying at home with his father and refused to do any jutsu in class that he hadn't mastered first at home, even though it brought down his grades, but once he did do it, he was able to outshine any of the other students. So his grades were mediocre when he graduated but he was considered well beyond his years in knowledge by most of the adults. Once a Genin, he focused on several different forms of battle strategics and with his team soon became the backup fighter, the one who stood a distance away and helped his teammates when they were in trouble with the Earth Techniques that he had invented.
The time came when they had to participate during the Chuunin exams and they were able to pass it fairly well the first time that they took it, though they weren't very widely noticed, only enough to be promoted. As they were they began their Chuunin missions, going about it the same way. One of their missions took them to the coast line in order to extract some enemy information. They were noticed and were forced to flee from the coast, but Kara was separated from them and forced to take refuge in a small coastal cave that he stumbled upon. He didn't realize this cave lead to the Ryusendo Grotto, the center for the Crab Ninja who abides in that area of the world. At first they saw him as a threat but soon realized that he wasn't there to attack him they decided to bind him to them so he couldn't betray them. They forced upon him the summoning contract for Summoning Crabs and told him that as long as he was alive he was one of their liaisons to the outside world, a representative for them, and in return they would aide him when he needed it. He didn't at the time realize what else this union would entail. They lead him though the caves to an inland entrance that put him out of harms way and he was able to find his teammates. He told them of what had happened and they praised him for the fact that he now has summons and with that could come some new jutsu.
He began working with some crabs via summoning on developing new jutsu, including turning his skin into a shell and his arm into a crab claw, both of which turned out to be very useful. But one day while he was receiving a mission from the Tsuchikage he was called on by the crabs, summoned to their giant grotto. But he wasn't the only one. It turns out the crabs has well over a hundred other people they were connected to, who had signed their scroll and it was time for them to find the Crab Sage. The previous one had perished in battle and as was custom there must be one person who could take up the mantel of the Crab Sage and wield their most powerful and sacred jutsu. There were summoners from every major village and several small ones, with men and women ranging form Genin to Special Jounin, and Kara wondered how they would choose their new Champion. To his horror they answered his question. A large scale battle to the death, and the last man standing would be taught the ways of the Crab Sage. Of course they chose a time when high tide was going to be coming in so the entire battle had to take place in twenty four hours, and only after the tide had receded would the crabs return and find the winner. No one cared to ask what would happen if more than one had survived. The crabs left, scuttling out through a small hole, which they guarded. Several people tried to just swim out, but they only succeeded in bloodying the water.
Thus the battle began. At first Kara hid, trying to figure out the strong players, using his special earth style ninjutsu to cause confusion and injury, even some death with some of the more drastic techniques. Near the end when there were less people he was able to come out and do some hit and run tactics, trying to get to higher ground as the water level rose. When the water was three fourths of the way to the top there was only two combatants left standing. Kara and a mist village Ninja, who had a supreme advantage. He had water and a breathing machine that allowed him to be underwater. Kara was tired and with the water rising so fast he could only do one thing, hide again and try to figure out a way to get the breathing machine. He was able to surprise the ninja and kill him, taking the breathing machine. He then, being the last man left standing waited for the waters to go back out to sea.
The next day the crabs came in when the water was all emptied out from the grotto and found Kara Tsume, who they declared their new champion and set about his training, sending a letter back to the Rock Village to inform them of the developments. Over the next year he was taught special Crab techniques, including Water style ones and Mud style ones, which combined his water and earth styles. He learned how to communicate through chakra to the Crabs so that he didn't have to explain the situation to them as soon as he summons them they know the problem and what their job is. The biggest thing that they showed him was their most prized secret, and that was the Sage Mode, given to them by the frogs. They told him of the story when the Crabs had no shinobi abilities and how they had been weak compared to all of the other creatures, therefore an easy prey. They went to the frogs and asked for them to teach them ninjutsu, so that they could better defend themselves, and the frogs refused. They said that their position as one of the strongest animals in the world was precarious and they couldn't jeopardize any of their secrets. The Crabs still begged so the frogs decided to have mercy on them and allowed one crab to carry a gourd full of their special sage oil that would allow any who rubbed it on themselves the sage chakra. What the crabs didn't realize was that the oil would evaporate quickly if taken from the mountain. They realized that halfway back home that the gourd was a lot lighter and when they looked in it they found the gourd was only a third of the way full. They raced back to the ocean as fast as they could, hoping that they could make it in time, and they jumped in the sea, not knowing what would happen. They were despaired to find that the bottle was empty. Or so they thought. There was one little drop left in the gourd and when it mixed with the salt water it became the worlds first living rock. Coral. The coral fell onto the shell of the crab that was carrying it, and filled his body with the Sage Chakra, and for some reason unknown to both the crabs and the frogs, he didn't turn into stone. It is believed that their Shell siphons off the excess chakra they do not require. The coral began to grow, and chunks could be taken off of his back and placed on other crabs. Soon they began to realize that it affected them too, They began growing to amazing sizes, and they were more and more powerful and they were able to live longer.
They told Kara all of this and told him that Humans could also harness this power. They taught him how to combine his body with just a little bit of coral to draw in the Sage chakra around him, but unlike with the Toad Sages, the Crabs had yet to find a way to harness the power without the coral. Also there was great risk, if Kara couldn't expel most of the chakra as fast as he was receiving it, he would turn into a stone frog just like anyone who cannot master the frog sage mode. He practiced with it and practiced, learning how to master it as best as he could, and after nearly two years of training he is returning to The Rock Village to find out what has been happening. He knows nothing about the Rocks plans for war with Konoha.

RP Sample: Kara Tsume quickly spun around at the sound of a young woman screaming, clutching her baby to her bosom. With her eyes and mouth wide with fright she pointed towards a towering figure, slowly stretching itself out to its full height, revealing that it was a giant cobra, poised to strike at a tall building next to it, from which fireballs were shooting. In a swift strike it destroyed the building and all of the fireballs stopped as the Shinobi responsible for it plunged into the street below and was covered by rubble. Cobra faced directly at him...no the wall behind him and Kara was realizing what was happening. There must be someone or something waiting to get through the wall and it was the cobra's job to remove it. Quickly reacting he ran over to the wall, which he happened to be right by, and used his chakra to run up the wall, to see if his hunch was correct. Upon his viewing he saw nothing, until just in the shadows he saw someone try to run to new cover without being detected. An invasion.
Hearing massive destruction he turned to find that the snake had rolled itself into a ball and was bearing down on him. He had to act fast. He jumped off of the wall, all the way down the daunting drop from the top, when he hit the ground he poured his chakra in and created a massive ramp of earth that rose up out of the ground, and took the cobra up up and over the wall, landing loudly on the other side. Kara climbed his way back up to the top to find the Snake shaking its head in confusion, and obviously it was a little dazed. This was his time. Biting his thumb he wiped the blood on to his Crab Summoning Tattoo and placed both hands on the wall, and in a huge cloud of smoke a large crab with enough coral on its back to make it look like it had a massive hill on it appeared. "Kurabu Tate, could you take care of that goon for me?" He requested, mentally sharing the information of the events that had just happened. The crab waved his claw in acknowledgement. He smiled and placed his hand on the parapet again, this time a crab the size of Kara himself appeared. Kara mentally told him to go and report what had just happened to the Tsuchikage, and the message crab scuttled off in search of the leader of the Rock Village. Pulling out a kunai, Kara slid down the wall face, and entered the Forest with the intention of finding out who was hidden out in the vast wilderness.
