Kekkai Genkai
Takaragan - "Treasure Eye"[/b]
The Takaragan is a kekkai genkai which at a point in time long forgotten lead to the deaths of several dozen shinobi in the attempt to steal this ability. Though all attempts were unsuccessful, it did lead to the whittling down of the Midasu clan, and eventually, the ability becoming forgotten in public knowledge. The Mizukage had the clan 'restricted' and placed in hiding in his own palace, in order for the technique to be used solely for the good of the state, which due to the life of luxury they led, no Midasu ever had a complaint about.
The ability itself is technically split into two Dojutsu; the Ginirome ("Silver Eye") in the left, and the Kinirome ("Golden Eye") in the right. Each of these happens to coincide with the appropriate hand. By closing the one not in use, and focusing his gaze on an object he is holding in the coinciding hand, the dojutsu begins to change the molecular structure of the object he's holding to pure gold, or pure silver, using his chakra. It spreads from a set point, the center of his focus, like a growing puddle, until it fully engulfs what it is that the dojutsu was focused upon. This is why the Takaragan is so sought after, and why the Mizukage relied on them; they could literally generate money from nothing.
While both dojutsu use approximately the same amount of chakra, there is an immediate difference. The Ginirome spreads faster than the Kinirome, meaning that completion of the transformation is far easier to obtain, but at the same time, the silver is far less dense, and as expected, weaker than the gold. It is formed as a softer, more durable metal. The Kinirome takes longer to form, but is far thicker and heavier than the silver. This is because the chakra distribution in the silver is more spacious, allowing it to form quicker but with less strength than the gold. If the transformation does not complete, the target will slowly revert to its original composition at the same rate for both dojutsu. The ability can also be projected without the use of touch, but takes far much more chakra to use and requires far more concentration, as it is required to focus chakra onto one central point – which touch provides an appropriate point of fixation for. Using it on a moving target is a waste of time, effort and chakra.
Jutsu
Ichijishinogi Buki no Jutsu - "Makeshift Weaponry Technique"
Rank:[/b] D
Type: Kekkai Genkai Kenjutsu
This is the most common form of the Takaragan that Takashiro will ever use, and it's remarkably efficient considering how little chakra it uses. By using his surroundings, Takahiro focuses his kekkai genkai on anything he can find to turn it into either silver, should he want to use it as a projectile, or gold if he wishes to weild it as a weapon. In terms of projectiles, Takahiro has a tendency to carry numerous transformed maple leaves around with him, finding their jagged edges apt for murder.
Yutakadou Benso no Jutsu - "Rich Body Defence Jutsu"
Rank: D
Type: Kekkai Genkai Supplementary Ninjutsu
As skilled as he is, the fact is, Takahiro's likely to take some hits in a close combat situation, but as a result, he's discovered a way to 'cushion the blows'. By concentrating his gaze at his own body or clothing, predicting where the opponent is going to strike, should they pierce his defence, he can turn spots of his own body quickly to silver in order to cushion the blow, generating a form of armor on the spot. Numerous blows in rapid succession are likely to break this, seeing as he can only focus on one spot at a time, and turning too much of his body to metal without giving it time to regenerate can slow him down and generally waste chakra.
Arashi no Kozeni no Jutsu - "Storm of Coins Technique"
Rank: C
Type: Kekkai Genkai
Takahiro splashes a body of water into the air. Naturally, the water breaks up into numerous pieces and droplets, at which point, he utilises his ranged Takaragan to try and turn as many of those droplets into gold before they hit the ground as possible. Given the small size of the droplets, the transformation takes hardly any time at all. This in turn, covers in the area in buckshot, which can be quite uncomfortable for an opponent caught in the middle of it. This is especially deadly in the rain, as Takahiro effectively has infinite ammunition, limited only by his chakra. While poor against a single enemy, it is effective against groups, or in close proximity, increasing it's chance of success.
Mizu Bunshin No Jutsu - "Water Clone Technique"
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary Elemental Ninjutsu
The Water Clone Technique is similar to most other clone techniques, except it quite obviously creates clones out of water. Like the other solid clone techniques, the clones can be used to preform tasks the user is unable or unwilling to do for themselves. The range of the clone is limited however, it can not travel very far from the original body. Like other clone techniques, if the water clones are injured enough they will revert back to normal water, but this suits their purpose fine, as their main objective is merely distraction, or replacement. Still, Takahiro is quite capable of using the clone as a quite literal shield - making use of chakra expenditure of the Takaragan and the Yutakadou Benso no Jutsu.
