registering;;
you can register under whatever name you like, but please change your display name to that of your character. each character should have its own separate account to post in character with. you can have a maximum of ten accounts without having to pay for an extra one-- and honestly, ten is enough. why would you need any more?
character creation;;
we accept originals and canons here. each member is allowed five canons of choice; an extra canon can be won in a contest or bought in the store. we recommend that you make a canon first, as the canons are needed for the plot. when you create your character, be sure to follow the form. you can add extra fields, but you can't take anything off. your application will be rejected if it breaks any rules; if it is accepted, a notice will be posted, thread moved and locked. more character information can be found in the creation center.
character allowances and bans;;
original members of the uchiha clan are encouraged, as the massacre never happened.
non-uchihas can't have the sharingan, unless transplanted in character.
non-hyugas can't have the byakugan; the above statement is the exeption.
if a jutsu or ability is unique to one character in the anime, chances are-- they're unique here too. an exception is like my character ashurii; the character in canon that uses crystal release jutsu doesn't exist in this game, therefore i can have crystal jutsus as the jutsu of her kekkei genkai, the himitsukai.
only medical ninjas can know medical jutsu.
extreme taijutsu on gai/lee level is only acceptable if your character doesn't use ninjutsu or genjutsu, and is/was an apprentice of gai.
genin can have one chakra release, chunin one/two, tokubetsu jonin two, jonin and missing-nin three, kages four.
literacy;;
we are defined as a intermediate/advanced roleplay, though we have no word count. why? because quality is favored over quantity. if you can post one paragraph with details that captivate the reader, i'd say that is intermediate. if, however, you post six ten-sentence paragraphs that bore the reader to death describing every single breath your character takes or every shade of blue in the sky, i have two words for you: major overkill. if you can write that long and make it entertaining, then i applaud you.
also: try to match literacy for literacy. if your threading partner posts three paragraphs, try to post three paragraphs. at least on good long one. but responding with three lines would be a little ridiculous. i was threading ona an rpg once; my posts were consistently over two hundred words, yet i got three-sentence replied. it was a struggle to keep up to my literacy standards without something to reply to.
out of character;;
please don't spam the boards. spam is defined as stupid, pointless, annoying messages. a small amount of spam is okay in the general board, and the forum games, but otherwise, just don't do it. it's irritating as hell.
don't double post, unless you are bumping a thread. bumping can take place only if a thread is ignored or inactive for three days. any other time, just modify your post-- there is an 'edit' button for a reason.
nagging. okay, people on the board are spending their free time here, trying to have fun-- and the staff are trying to make your experience even better. we all have lives; we can't be online twenty-four seen, so please have a little patience. if something need attention, and hasn't been looked at in twenty-four hours, then you can pm a staff member or whoever else it concerns.
obscenities are allowed here. just don't go dropping the f-bomb twenty times in every post. ...unless you're hidan or another minion of jashin. then it's encouraged. but please, no graphic material in posts, or links to porn or anything. against the tos and honestly-- no one wants to see that.
plagiarism. don't do it. plagiarism is illegal, and can get your ass tossed in jail. this applies to written prose only. graphics and other images are a separate copyright issue. if you're caught stealing anything from anyone, immediate and permanent ban.
in character;;
as said before, we have no word count. however, we appreciate at least four lines-- fifty words. it isn't that hard. no one or two liners. if you need help improving your roleplaying skills, you can visit our guides section.
fighting. all in-character fighting should be following the fighting guide. if a rule in the guide is broken, report it. we'll help correct the error.
liquid time is allowed. as many threads as you want, feel free to post-- as long as you have someone to thread with.
graphics;;
graphics are welcome here. very welcome, as long as they don't stretch the board and are pg-13 acceptable.
a final note;;
this board is set to where only in character roleplaying posts are added to your post count.
