Bearing a shorter stature than most, Gaara often stands with his arms crossed and brow furrowed. He has no eyebrows; and his pale blue eyes each have a black ring around them like a racoon. full history;;
Gaara's birth couldn't be defined as the norm. The one-tailed demon, Shukaku the sand spirit was inplaced inside him before he was even born, by order of his father. It was in hope that Gaara could become the Sand Village's ultimate weapon, an all-powerful trump card. As a result, Gaara being born ended the life of the woman that gave birth to him. Before Gaara's mother, Karura, died, she cursed Sunagakure, and gave her last breath hoping Gaara would avenge her unwilling sacrifice. As he grew up, he was trained by his father, but was mainly raised by his enatic uncle, Yashamaru.
Because he was the manifestation of Shukaku, Sunagakure feared for their lives, and avoided Gaara. Aside from Yashamaru, Gaara was alone. It seemed to him that Yashamaru was the only one he could trust and depend on. He was the only one that didn't see him as a monster or some hideous weapon.
Gaara's father however, didn't see Gaara in the same way Yashamaru did. He viewed Gaara's multiple attacks on Sunagakure and it's villagers as a prominent sign that the Shukaku experient was a failure. His father soon started sending assassins to kill Gaara before he got too powerful. All attempts failed. The sand protected Gaara. He was untouchable.

Title; Don't Try to Fix Me
I'm not broken. Hello.
That was the third night in a row she woke up screaming. Hands shaking, hair a mess, a blonde female girl sat up. She looked at her quivering hands with wide, green eyes. Shonen. She couldn’t believe he was dead. No, not her little brother, he was the baby of the family. She was supposed to protect him!
Adiome started to cry. She cupped her hands around her eyes, sobbing. It was the third night in row like this, and the third night in a row she watched him die in her dreams. It was horrible, it was killing her.
”Adiome.”
The blonde ninja looked up, her hands dripping with blood. That was the way Adiome cried- instead of tears she had blood. Tears of bloodshed, Gaara called them. She had expected to see Temari, poking her head into Adiome’s room. But she was surprised to see someone else. Kimiki. Her sister.
No, she must still be dreaming. Kimiki hated her, and only recently started to speak to Adiome again. It had been thirteen years before Adiome’s older sister had uttered a word to her.
Kimiki’s eyes were expressing a worried look, holding Adiome in her gaze. Her ice blue orbs drifted from her little sister to the nightstand by Adiome’s bed. It had a picture of Shonen. Sighing, she walked over to Adiome and sat on the edge of the bed. ”Look at you, you’re a mess,” she murmured.
Adiome tried to stop crying, but the tears kept flowing. What’s happening to me, she thought, am I starting to crack? She couldn’t afford to do that, otherwise Jouichibi would take control of her again. If that happened, then even the waking world would become a nightmare- as if it wasn’t already.
Sniffling, she didn’t argue when Kimiki took her hand. Her older sister examined it- small and fragile. It was amazing Adiome was able to be a ninja at all, for her bones could break as easily as glass.
Kimiki took a handkerchief out of her pocket and wiped the blood away. Then she just held the hand, looking at Adiome with a patient, sympathetic expression. ”I miss him too,” she whispered.
Adiome looked pained; her eyes were still flooded with red liquid. ”It’s all my fault,” she breathed, her voice hoarse. A choking sound came from her throat; she was in danger of crying again.
Kimiki reached forward with her other hand and patted Adiome’s shoulder gently. Her heart was heavy with dread and sorrow, but how large of agony Adiome must be feeling was beyond her.
”Adiome… I know it may not mean much now… I- I don’t know if it’s even the right time to say this.” Kimiki bit her lip, her eyes breaking away from Adiome’s.
”… But I’m sorry. For everything.”
Adiome looked puzzled, the tears starting to let up. Her vision was blurry from the tears, and bloodshot, but even with her temporarily bleary vision; she could see that Kimiki was nervous. Was she afraid of her younger sister’s reaction?
”Sis’… I-“ her voice cut off with another pained choking sound. Before she even knew it, she was calling her older sister what Shonen would call his older sister. Everything she said and did reminded her of one of the few people that she cared about, that mattered to her- and loved her back. But she couldn’t save him. She couldn’t save Sasuke, she couldn’t save Gaara, she couldn’t save the Uchiha clan… she couldn’t even save Deidara. I thought I had gotten stronger, she thought as she wiped the tears away with the back of her hand, but nothing’s changed… I may as well be that little girl in the Uchiha clan- unable to fit it, and weak. I can’t do anything!
”There’s nothing you have to repent for,” Adiome murmured dully, ”I was the one that brought suffering to the family… it would have been better if I never existed.”
Kimiki’s head snapped up, ”Don’t say that!” She turned to face Adiome again, who was starting to lean back.
Whatever Kimiki was about to say after that was unknown, for there was a knock at the bedroom door, and then a voice. ”Adiome?” The voice was deep and sensual, Adiome would recognize it anywhere.
Regardless of the tense situation, Kimiki found herself wearing a sly, cheeky smile. ”There’s your hubbie,” she said wryly. Getting up, she gave Adiome a quick hug- much to Adiome’s surprise. ”Take care… sister.” With that Kimiki opened the door for Gaara, gave him a quick nod, and slipped out.
The red-headed Kazekage raised an eyebrow, but right now he wasn’t concerned with what that nod meant. His blue almond-shaped eyes were trained on his fiancée. He walked through the doorway and shut the door as quietly as he could. It was still the middle of the night, and hopefully Temari and Kankuro were still sleeping. If they were, he wasn’t about to disturb them.
Before he could even say anything or turn away from the doorknob to face Adiome, he felt a tight embrace around him, constricting him. Gaara turned without pushing Adiome away the best he could, holding her. He could hear her muffled sobs as she cried into his torso. Gaara placed one hand on her back and the other on the back of her head. He bent his neck forward so he could bury his face in her hair.
”Shhh, it’s okay,” he murmured, rubbing the back of her head with his hand. Adiome looked up at him, her eyes clouded with pain. Gaara ran his fingers through her blonde hair. It was only then did he realize she was shaking. ”Sit down,” he said quietly, yet in a commanding tone. He didn’t want Adiome to collapse onto the floor, especially now, considering…
