Shizune heard the door shut behind her and bowed her head in silence. Tsunade had been shutting herself in her office of late, and she wouldn't confide in her why. Holding her arms to her chest she walked down the stairs and found her way into the eating establishment. Normally she was not sure what to do with her time off, mainly because Tsunade didn't give her that time.

Sighing to herself she found a seat and ordered some dumplings. Sometimes she just wanted to confront Tsunade, say no once, but she could never. Staring at her dumpling she thought she heard someone approach. Keeping still she waited to see who it was.

The meeting with the other Jonin had just been adjured, and Gai had been on his way to start training with Lee, when he heard a growl- from his stomach that is. He couldn't possibly train Lee or Kuro on an empty stomach now, could he? He turned on his heal and walked into a small restaurant, only to find himself Shizune. "Hello Shizune! How are you today?"

Shizune raised her head as she noticed the tall figure of Gai. Apparently the meeting went quicker then expected, she mused as she bit into her dumpling. Putting on a fake smile she waved at him. "Oh hi Gai, nice to see you. I'm...doing great...even got time off to eat...see?" Shizune knew she couldn't hold this up forever, and knew Gai was pretty good at spotting fake happiness. Still, even with rare dumpling like this, she couldn't get her mind off Lady Tsunade.
