Gathering (Shizune, Naruto, Shikamaru, Yakshi, ?)

Shizune tried to pry the door open, but, it gave little to her efforts. Backflipping she panted and wiped the sweat from her brow with a sour look crossing her features. "Lady Tsuande...please reconsider! Locking yourself in there all day will not accomplish any of this paper work!" Shizune pointed at the papers, aware that Lady Tsunade would not open the door to even take a peek.

"Fine...but this isn't over," Shizune pointed with a glare. Letting her hand fall she resigned herself to walking down, once again, and ran her hand through her frazzled hair. Reasoning and begging did little o move her, so, what else could she do now? Standing in the middle of the camp she felt her shoulders slump.

Naruto Uzumaki placed his hands behind his hair with a look of contentment as he walked out of Ichiraku. The place was normally small, so, he didn't have to worry about the old man being busy with orders. Lately there hadn't been much going on in the camp, so, he stuffed his face and then went back to training. The pervy sage was off researching, and once more, he found himself in need of a sensei. Stopping near a tent he recognized the worried sight of Shizune, Grandma Tsunade's assistant. Raising an eyebrow at her out and alone he decided to investigate.

"Hey Shizune...where's Grandma Tsunade?" Naruto stood there and waited for an answer, though, it didn't seem like she knew he existed at that moment. Hmm, he thought, I should probably leave her alone...but...it wouldn't be in my nature to do that now. "Shizune...I said...where's Grandma Tsunade?"

Shikamaru Nara rolled out of bed and rubbed at his sleepy eyes. Last night he hadn't got much sleep because his mom and dad were arguing. About half way through the night the arguing stopped, but, he still couldn't sleep. Women could argue till the crows call in the morning, he thought, man...what a drag. Throwing on his short jacket he placed his headband on his left arm and headed out. Today Kurenai told them to take the day off, so, here he was with the option to stay in bed, instead, he opted for a walk.

Anything is better then being my mom's next victim, he thought. Stuffing his hands in his pockets he headed out the door and along the rows of tents. Seeing two familiar faces he strolled over and noticed Naruto yelling at Shizune. "Naruto, calm down, Shizune isn't death you know? Besides, I thought you were supposed to be training with Master Jiraiya," Shikamaru pointed out.

It had been so long since he had last been in the liberation camp, he thought, more time had passed and had been good to place even with the blood of a woman spilled. Yakshi had aged considerably, now at 50, some gray was in his long hair. Kicked away from the people he called family he was left to wonder the roads...aiming for revenge. Had Maito Gai not came in as he did...the young girl would've been his. Walking through the gate he held a wary hand over the hilt of his sword. Each step was measured in pure caution, his eyes peeled for the slightest sign of a kunai or jutsu hurled his way.

Noticing strangers in the distance he kept a clear distance, as it seemed they were arguing. I shall observe for now, then when it seems safe I shall approach. The girl and her father had to be around her somewhere, but, scaring up information was not his way...not anymore. Since the liberation camp was welcoming sand, he had stolen a headband and was posing as a sand ninja he had killed. Time was on his side.

Moving along the shadows of the road a stranger held the cloaked hood over his features giving little light to his true identity. All along the road people asked him if he needed help, but, he said nothing...and fought the urge to give them a cold stare. Lately Itachi had been absent, he wasn't sure why, as their last meeting where he trained him seemed to...make him think. Having snuck from the village he decided to see the camp that disbanded from them so long ago. There was hate in him, for this camp, as his father would often rant about the evils of the world...and the camp was often mentioned in his talk.

Coming to the gate he chose to scale the makeshift wall, rather then go through the open way where several anbu were discussing the coming chunin exams. Dropping to the dirt he ran over to the corner of the building, though it was only then he noticed the figures in the distance. They were talking...and for some reason his focus was fixated on the yellow haired kid. Edging closer he noticed the sand ninja also studying the group. "I see I'm not the only one curious," he said with a smirk.

Shizune wanted to yell at Naruto that she wasn't death, but, she wasn't really in the mood to yell. All this week she had been trying to get Lady Tsunade free of that large mansion, but all she got was grunts of incoherent words. Shizune was just being concerned, but lately all that led to was talking to a wall and retreating in defeat. Looking over at Shikamaru, the lazy genin of the camp, she noticed his words spoke of reason. If only he'd apply himself, she thought, perhaps then he would become chunin.

"Thank you Shikamaru," Shizune smiled, "as for you Naruto...I'M NOT DEATH! As for Lady Tsuande...she is quite...um...busy with some reports." It was a flat out lie, but, the last thing she wanted anyone to know was that Lady Tsunade wasn't up to anything but most likely drinking sake or planning a great escape.

Naruto narrowed his eyes as Shizune said that Grandma was busy. It seemed awfully suspcious, and he couldn't help his curiosity. "What do you mean she is busy? Holing herself up in that office of hers...for so long? I'd be crazy to be in any place for too long!" Naruto looked over at Shikamaru and glared at him. Mr. Lazy butt, he thought, clearly he needs to learn to keep his nose out of a pillow and his business away from me. We all know it is just an act, he thought, still...perhaps I should've...nah.

"So what if I am? The Pervy Sage isn't around when I need him, let us see how he'll be when I'm not around huh? I know even Kiba is tired of showing up at an empty field where the only ones training are someone else's squad. I want to learn new jutsu...not be stuck bored out of my mind from training...by myself!" Naruto folded his arms and looked over noticing some figures some distance away.

Typical Naruto, Shikamaru thought, he just can't let anything go. Looking over at Shizune he apologized with his eyes as Naruto honed in on what Shizune said and talked of always keeping active. She could be active in there, he thought, but who am I to say what the Hokage does in her spare time? If she is anything like my mom she is probably fixing a lecture for everyone, he thought with dread. It was a drag how women could degrade them so much in lectures that it made them feel small, but, being scary was their thing...and they couldn't take it away from them.

"Naruto your supposed to be training constantly," Shikamaru pointed out, "even without a Sensei. You are given instructions to do all you can and that is why you don't see me constantly running my mouth off about Kurenai not being around. Its a drag...but you just have to deal with it alright?' Shikamaru knew Naruto wouldn't follow what he said, but, he had to dish it out for the kid. Noticing Naruto's gaze; he too, for that moment was focused on them. "Friends of yours?" He teased.

Yakshi was so focused on his studying of the figures in the distance, he didn't hear the person speak to him. Turning his head to the side he noticed the hooded figure staring in the same direction he was. Wha-when did he get there? Was he so off his game he didn't hear the guy walk up next to him? The guy seemed to be a kid, though, he had a masculine voice that woudl say other wise. No features could be discerned so, he was left guessing every feature about him. Shrugging his shoulders he didn't pay much attention to the kid. "I'm only seeking directions," he said matter of factly, "nothing more. I could care less about these individuals and the lives they live."

It was true, as he had no intent to get to know them better then he did right now. The yellow haired kid was complanitive and annoying, while the other kid seemed lazy and said 'drag', quite a lot. The woman was secretive and a tad high pitched in voice, and for some reason, reminded him of Shinu. Shaking his head he tried to rid his mind of that night. Knowing where Gai and his daugther were was his objective...and nothing would stand in his way of revenge.

Sasuke rolled his eyes at this tall ninja. Seeking directions so far into this village, what was he anti-social or something? The sand and liberation camp were allies, at least that was how he interpreted it as he came here. This guy had something else on his agenda, and true he didn't want to mix it up with those people, but he surely wanted something here. "If that's the story you want to stick by, I can not say otherwise." Sasuke folded his arms and noticed that two of them were now staring in his direction. As long as they didn't approach, it was far better for them, he mused as he kept his Sharigan hidden until needed.

This was hardly a spie mission, nor was it any ranked mission assigned by his father. He had come here of his own free will, though not in any way to ally himself with them. Hearing heavy footsteps behind him he could feel a cold chill play across his spine. The air was filled with an acrid like hunger for battle...and he knew retreating was now an option of the past. They wore headbands from a village he didn't know, and they carried an arsenal of bows and clubs. They didn't seem to notice him and this ninja...and their current walk took them over to that group.

Shizune wished she were elsewhere writing well meant reports instead of listening to these two butt heads. Kurenai and Jiraiya must be so proud of how they turned out, she thought with a hand pressed to her tempel. Suddenly the wind blew, and for that to happen, it could only mean trouble was afoot. Finally looking in the direction that Shikamaru and Naruto were looking she saw a large mob like group armed to the teeth. They had missing teeth and most of their clothing was torn. The headbands they wore, if she remembered correctly, were from ninja whose village had suffered the most in the last several years from the war and the declining economy.

"Can I help you with something?" Shizune stepped in front of Naruto and Shikamaru and wished they weren't here. They were Genin who had yet to see a real battle, and with her being the only Jonin around, if trouble arose she'd have to take the blunt attacks. The leader walked forward and handed her some papers. Shizune accepted them and as soon as she opened it up she screamed. "T-This...are you...oh Lady Tsunade..."

Naruto rolled his eyes at Shikamaru and flailed his arms about. "Do those look like friends of mine? I wouldn't be friends with them in a million years. One, the sand ninja looks too creepy and old for my taste. The other guy...has a shady appearance about him...probably annoying as well." Naruto saw a crowd coming their way and was amazed at such a large group in the camp. Everyone seemed to disappear into tents and the only ones left out were them. The two who they stared at were not moving, so, he assumed they wanted to watch the mob maul them. Oh great, he thought, we get to be the main course.

Shizune seemed to step in front of him and he tried to peer around her. Daarn, he thought, because of my short height I can't see a thing. Watching the lead mob person hand the paper to Shizune he spun around and went to see what was on the paper. The only thing he saw were a huge amassing of numbers and ryo adding up to an equisential number. "Whoa...Grandma Tsunade owes that much? Then that means they are..?" Naruto gulped as the lead mob person pounded the club into his open hand.

"Typical Naruto," Shikamaru shook his head, "you really think it does you good by judging people before getting to know them? That Sand ninja happens to be part of the allied village of the wind, so, why judge him on age? The other guy might wear a hood, but did you for one second think that it might be too sunny here?" The kid just doesn't learn, he thought, and I somehow doubt me lecturing him will get me anything but a headache. Man this is such a drag, he sighed, if only I had a mission instead of being stuck in this slap stick comedy.

Looking over at the crowd he could read their hostile intentions by the tense muscles and the weapons that seemed prime to kill. Shizune was the only jonin here, so, if a fight broke out he and Naruto would have to get to safety. The only time they had used their jutsu was in practice with their Jonin sensei...not on enemy targets. Watching Naruto move over to see the document, he too felt a slight urge to see what the hub hub was about. Seeing the numbers he whistled. "That is more then I make in a month, let alone a life time." Running a hand through his dark hair he wondered what would happen, seeing how circumstances were against them with Tsunade in her office.

This is not faring well to my expectations, he thought, if they kill them then I will have no one to ask for directions. The tents were locked and not a soul was out that could tell him how to find Maito Gai and his brat kid. The hooded kid was a smart mouth and he would decapitate him right where he stood, but, he didn't want to draw attention his way right then. Instead, he opted for silence and observation, just like before. The scene was rather ugly, as the mob handed a scroll to the woman. Her reaction clearly indicated that it was either a warrant or bad news of a debt. Having heard of this Tsunade's gambling, he would imagine it was the latter.

I can not interfere, he thought, though if any come my way...my blade is itching to send them away. Patting the hilt of his sword he could feel his pulse bounce about anxiously, just yearning to cut and be himself. The mob seemed just like him, blood hungry, but...they were worse for ware what with the traveling on roads like these today. Those two Genin over there didn't stand a chance should a fight break out. Smiling to himself he leaned casually up against a pole and watched an archer ready an arrow for the showdown.

Sasuke grinned at the silence of the bigger ninja and focused on the group. They clearly were chatty, he observed, unlike people in his own home. The yellow haired kid seemed the chattiest of all, his mouth could run anyone's ear into retreat anyday. He's such a loser, he thought, thinking he is right. The mob handed out their demands and Sasuke noticed the yellow haired kid pushing around to see what was in it. The reaction alone from the Jonin was clear that the demands were anything but a simple forgiveness. The mob was stirring and the feeling he felt before was getting to him. The Genin here weren't much fighters, so, if a fight did break out that Jonin would be faced with a surmounting odd of enemies against her. If he had to place bets, the likely winner would be the mob.

I despise this village, he thought, as I was raised to think by my father...but a part of me yearns to battle those other then Neji or my Sensei. The arrow was readied on the bow, and even one mob person was withdrawing a long and jagged steel blade from his sheath. With the war eating away at the economy, even Feudal Lords were being taken for what they had. Sasuke reached inside his robe and held onto a smoke bomb. Things were going to get ugly before a solution was to occur, and though it went against everything he was trained to, he felt he'd have to step in...and soon.

Shizune tried to steady her pulse as the paper shook in her hand. Lady Tsunade, she thought, I thought you paid all this stuff back? Noticing the arrow being primed back in the string she knew a battle was about to commence. "Look, I am sorry for Lady Tsunade's actions...but as you can see...we aren't exactly thriving in money at the moment. So...could you come back in say...another year?" Shizune laughed nervously and saw the arrow spin free of the bow. Naruto was standing in the way and she shoved him to the ground.

The arrow merely grazed her shoulder, but it still hurt like hell. Blood was sent into the air and she groaned as the arrow fell into the ground behind her. Holding her shoulder she noticed the leader was speaking. His words were unmistkable...and she knew now...they weren't getting out of here...unscathed.

"Attack...take what they have and go to the big loser and take what she has as well!"

Shizune glared and saw the coming wave meet them where they stood. Shizune caught the club aimed at her head and with her palm glowing sent it into the man's chest sending him crumpling to his knees. "Naruto, Shikamaru, I'm sorry you have to be involved...but if you want to live...your going to have to fight."

Naruto stared in wide eyed horror as the arrow flew at him. All he could think about was his life ending before it really began. I can't believe I'm frozen, he thought, why...can't I move? Naruto closed his eyes as he expected the sharp pain to enter his body, instead he felt only the thud of his body on the ground. Looking up he noticed the blood spilled as Shizune took the arrow for him. Feeling helpless he wanted to ask why, but, there was no time for that as the lead mob person was readying the assault. This isn't good, he thought, if they crush us...Grandma Tsunade will have no one to help her.

Grinding his teeth he balled his hand into a fist and roared out a challenge. "My name is Naruto Uzumaki...and I'm going to be Hokage someday...believe it! If you clowns think your going to plow through here...you got another thing coming!" Naruto got to his feet and met an attacker carrying a short sword. As it swung towards him he jumped back and landed in a crouch. The man mistook him for being wounded, but as soon as he came towards him he grinned.

"Behind you believe it!" The man turned his head to see another Naruto throwing kunai his way. The kunai caught him in the back and sent him falling face forward. Laughing he sent his clone away and went to tackle another mob.

"This isn't good," Shikamaru noted, "we aren't ready for this yet. I mean, Naruto and I are only genin, what makes you think we're ready?" Shikamaru stared as Shizune got hit by the arrow and felt his shoulders sag. "This is such a drag, I mean, I thought I'd get more training before...oh the hell with it." Shikamaru watched Shizune take down an attacker, and even Naruto took down someone. Though as Naruto went to take down someone else, he noticed two attackers readying their arrows to attack him.

"Where do you two think your going? Shadow Possession jutsu!" Shikamaru caught the two by the heels and they couldn't budge. "Ha...works everytime...just on my team mates, but still practice makes perfect." I can only hold them for...crap...their free." Shikamaru watched them advance and then pointed at the ground. Before they could act...the paper bombs went up in their faces sending them flying back. "I might have used too many...but oh well."

Yakshi watched the battle unfold and smiled a toothy smile. So, he observed, these shinobi seem to have some fighting spirit in them. The way that Medical ninja took down a ninja with just her hands, or the way that kid used shadows to imprison his foes, it was like a melee of death construed in youth. During his younger days he could slice any ninja that oppossed him with the simplest of ease, now, he would be lucky to survive against the best of the best. Looking over at the kid next to him he could tell that he was eager to join, though he seemed pinned to his spot. The outcome might not be so bad after all, he noted, and then I can get the information I want...or kill them before they even consider fleeing.

Yakshi folded his arms and watched the yellow haired kid use his shadow clones and take out one guy with simple trickery. They were all skilled, though, the numbers were still against them. Even now, several archers were lining their shots up and one had their sights aimed on the shadow clone kid. I could help, but meddling in these guys's affair would be too much on my part. I have a part in this story, and it is to kill the very person to redeem my honor among my former clan. Waiting for it to be over he played through his head stuff that he would've done differently.

Sasuke watched the scene unfold with utter disbelief. He had originally thought that due to the arguing they were nothing but low ranked shinobi. Yet the way the medical ninja displayed her power under intentse pain...he was taken a back just now. The yellow haired kid, whom he considered a loser, managed to tackle a sticky situation with a shadow clone. This is pathetic, I shouldn't be here. Sasuke was about to leave when he noticed the yellow haired kid was about to be shot at from his blind spot. Urgh, he thought, I shouldn't help him...but...letting him die here would only bug me later. Sasuke then raced forward and closing his eyes he let a kunai sing from his hand and intercept the arrow with a dull clang.

The yellow haired kid looked dumbfounded, wondering why he was alive. Looking over the two locked eyes and he almost seemed grateful. "Don't get used to it loser!" Sasuke said. Standing up he saw all the archers surround him. Closing his eyes he imagined what Itachi did in the training ground, each kunai flying and hitting its target with equal precision. The archers were ready to aim when he launched himself into the air. Activating his sharigan he pulled out several kunai and heard the draw of strings below.

"Hmph...lets see if I can do what Itachi did." The arrows shot forth and he let loose the kunai one at a time. Each kunai struck the arrow in midflight and sent them careening away from him. Throwing another set of kunai he hit his own kunai and sent them into his blind spot and crushing into the flesh of several archers. Landing in a crouch he made sure his hood was drawn up to avoid any suspicion. Hearing the archers fall down, the others began to draw knives. "Is that all you got?"

Shizune panted as she jumped over a sword slice and kicked the man in the face sending his blood flying. Landing in a crouch she sweeped the man's legs from under him and then sent a senbon needle into a pressure point on his neck. "I don't believe killing you is the answer...so you'll be just lulled into a sleep...for now." Shizune looked around her and noticed what a good job the Genin were doing. Wow, I never thought they'd be ready for this, she thought. Watching several archers aim their arrows at Naruto Shizune tried to intercept them.

Though what surprised her was a hooded figure leaped over and warded off the attacks. The skill with the kunai was impressive...though she seemed to recall another ninja doing the same for a show of his skills to the Genin. I don't think he could be...but...there is no mistaking the accuracy of the kunai he just threw. Nah, she thought, like an Uchiha would actually come here. Shizune back flipped as a man swung his heavy club into the ground kicking up dust. Coughing she felt a kunai fly her way and caught her in the shoulder spinning her and making her fall to the ground. Crying out in pain she landed on her arm and was most certain it had broken.

Naruto furrowed his brow and wanted to yell something back at him. Though when he did that trick in the air, he sort of found his words lost in his jealousy. Wow...I wonder who taught him that? Naruto was pulled from this when he saw Shizune get hit and went down. Several of the mob people could see the trail of blood and knew they had succeeded in their task. They stood over Shizune with intents that he knew wouldn't be great...it would be horrible. Mob people acted as one, and they had that look that they could do anything with the wounded woman. Naruto fumed at this and charged forward...the only problem was 5 arrows flew into his back and he fell onto his hands. A man held a kunai at his neck and smiled.

"C'mon boy...enjoy the scene...let it sink into your very brain," the man smiled. "These boys haven't had any action for a long time...and they would just a little taste..."

"Get...the...hell...away from her!!" Naruto grounded his nails into the ground and a quaking shook his very being. The men surrounding Shizune stopped, each one trembling as the ground shook. Naruto ached all over...his body coated now in a huge red chakra. The arrows began to pop out from his back and his eyes began to turn a crimson red. The man holding his kunai to him dropped it as it grew too hot. Naruto roared at the top of his lungs and turning to his attacker he took hold of the collar of his shirt. "Your going to pay for this!!!!" Pulling back his left fist he slammed it into the man's face and sent him flying into a pole. Naruto stood up with his nails now claws and his wounds having healed. Turning his attention on the men around Shizune he spread his arms and smiled a toothy smile.

Shikamaru watched the new kid come in and wanted to roll his eyes. Fancy flips don't earn ya points, he thought, it is all about how you handle the opposition. Right now, he noted, they have their arrows poised on the brink of ending ya, what are you going to do now? Suddenly he threw his kunais and with precision he hadn't seen since Asuma hitting targets, this kid was a brilliant genius. I must be not training hard enough, he noted, then again...when bed calls my name...I feel obliged to answer. Besides, Shogi is my game, and being a ninja always fell into second place...or was that behind sleep?

Shikamaru turned in time to see Shizune get hit by a kunai. Oh no...this looks bad, he thought in panic. The group surrounding her was too many for his shadow possession jutsu, plus, he was just out of chakra from trying to keep those goons from Naruto. "Damn," he said under his breath, "I feel so useless standing here." These were men who had lost touch with their village long ago, now they only did errands for others. Mobs had no central control...they merely did their order and got away with anything else along the way. Kurenai told him these were men who fought well together...apart they were useless.

I have to get them away from Shizune...but to do that I need to sepearate them. Hearing a roar he noticed Naruto hit by arrows. Dammit, he thought, I should've been paying attention to all the players on the field, just like in shogi. Shikamaru pulled out a kunai...but what happened next made him hesitate. A huge source of chakra erupted from him and he took out his attacker with one punch. Now he was turning his attention to the mob...and they trembled?

"Go get them Naruto," Shikamaru sank to his knees and yawned.

The lad has skill, he thought, but in the long run he is most vulnerable in the air. The kunai sang and found their targets and he still thought the same way. Earlier in his life, when he had a home to call his own, he had been just as ruthless...maybe a little more. The only thing he kept was his rank of jonin...and that was loose fitting in his 50 years. The woman seemed done for, plus, he hadn't seen a good mob rumbling in years. Walking forward he suddenly held his hands to his face as a huge amount of chakra surged forth sending him back a step.

The power was menacing and made him frozen to his spot. Looking down at his hand he noticed it trembled...he couldn't even get a good grip on his sword. I don't know what that is...but...if it scares me...then any of my own kind would feel the same trepadation. The kid harnessed such a punch that the ninja sent into the pole made a crack of bones breaking and his head, luckily, missed most of the impact. Staying in place he watched the kid turn to the other ninja.

"Perhaps I was mistaken about this place you hold dear Gai," he murmured, "but that hardly saves your life from me taking it."

Sasuke saw the eventus unfold like they were done in slow motion. Shizune went down and the mob surrounded her. Naruto was pinned down made to watch, but then he unleashed a huge amount of chakra and nailed the guy in the face...his body writhing with a menacing energy. Sasuke felt himself frozen to his spot as the Genin began to advance on the mob. What is this kid? He thought as he tried to move. There was hardly any forgiveness in his eyes, nor did he carry his kunai knife with him. The nails were claws and his teeth seemed canine at best. This chakra came from something inside him...that much his Sharigan can decipher.

"Hmph...this kid is on a whole different level," Sasuke mused, "there is no way I can take him as I am right now." Should the day come when he was stronger, then, and only then would he challenge him on the field. For now he waited for this menacing sight to disperse so he could flee back to his village. He had been gone long enough now and he was sure Itachi was wondering where he was. The good thing was no one had recognized him, and enough of the people were in doors so they couldn't question him, hell, even the Anbu seemed too far away to come and investigate.

Shizune could feel the hot breath of the men staring down at her and she wished she could summon up a poison mist...but she couldn't...not now. Their stares seemed to undress her and she felt fright claim her. She had never been in a situation like this, and even as a Jonin, she couldn't move her hand to her kunai. Fighting down the tears she just waited for it to be over. That was when it happened...the evil fox's chakra had finally broken loose from Naruto. The seal still held, so that was good, but the malevolent chakra seemed more then ready to crush all foes in its way.

"N-Naruto..." Shizune fough to get up, but, her arm felt like it was on fire and she fell back to lying down. She was helpless for the moment, and luckily Naruto had acted when he had...or she would've been dirty and probably not much to look at. They all had their eyes on the boy, and, they would soon know the true power of Naruto Uzumaki.

Naruto glared at the mob and hated them for doing this to Shizune. Shizune was the nicest person ever, to be treated like dirt wasn't something he ever wanted to see of the people close to him. Grounding his sandals into the ground he tore forward with such velocity the mob didn't know what to think...what to do. Dodging the first blow aimed at him he skidded to the right and with a spin in the air he landed a kick to the man's face sending him crashing to the ground.

Landing with his back to an enemy he heard the pull of the string of an arrow pointed at his back. Growling he back flipped onto the man's shoulder and then with a good grip around his neck he threw the guy with his strength and sent him crumpling to the floor, his body twisted and broken. More mob ninja came at him and he slashed at their knees taking them down and then wreaking havoc on their jaws as they flew up and he sent a shadow clone to do follow up damage.

The mob slowly dwindled as he raged at them, his chakra increasing his attacks ten-fold. Staring around at the array of bodies he groaned as he felt the chakra eat at his flesh. Letting the anger subside he felt the madness decrease and he fell forward onto his knees with a grateful look on his face. "I...I did...it..." Naruto then fell face forward onto the ground...losing consciousness there and then.

Shikamaru heard the bone cracks and the jaws fly upwards, but, he didn't really want to see it. This was Naruto's fight, he had done all he could for the situation already. When the fight was over he opened his eyes to watch Naruto fall face first onto the ground. Rushing over to lend him aid he checked to see if he had a pulse. "Well kid, you put up a heck of a fight. These goons won't be bugging us anytime soon, you can place a bet on that with your life."

Shikamaru looked over at Shizune who seemed to be smiling weakly. This could've been a lot worse, he noted, but...we proved to them that no one messes with the shinobi of the liberation camp. Shikamaru looked over at the kid who had saved them earlier and nodded his head in thanks. Dodging arrows never a speciality for either him or Naruto, so, it was lucky he had been there when the fight broke out.

Yakshi was amazed the runt had it in him to clear away all those ninja. Then again, they weren't that great to begin with. They fought as a group, but it was disorderly, a tad slopply and could've been executed by any low rank Genin. The kid was named Naruto, and the power he had was one that he never wanted to mess with. With the battle over he could finally approach them and not be viewed as an enemy. The lazy looking kid was kneeling down beside the fallen hero when a recovering enemy was ready to chop off his head.

Yakshi didn't know what was in him then...but with a quickness he thought dead he flew over to the guy and stabbed the man through the heart. Holding him up on the sword tip he threw the body aside with little effort. Bowing his head he felt he might as well play the ally...at least till he got the information. "Pardon my apperance, but, you apparently let your guard down and so I had to help out...my forgiveness."

Sasuke felt his fear pass and noticed the guy he stood next to finally intervene. Shaking his head at the copy cat he soon felt his feet move of their own accord. Throwing his hood over his face he began to retreat from the scene. This camp seemed to have quite the array of heroes planted in the genin, but, he would not intervene anymore. To each their own fight, and, his fight wasn't now...but later on. Walking through the gate he noticed the Anbu black ops coming in, each was wary as they thought they detected a disturbance nearby.

My brother would put them to shame, he thought as he walked on the road. After all, his brother had been Anbu, and he was exceptionally good at what he did. For now he could only smile as he realized that he had mastered that trick his brother had done in the training field. Perhaps he was catching up to his brother sooner then expected. Or, he second thought as he began to burst into a run, I still have a long way to go. Hopefully I wasn't missed for too long...and then he disappeared.
